In February, the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District signed an agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding the Fresno County Stream Group’s Redbank and Fancher Creek Reservoir Reoperation project. This agreement allows the members of the Fresno County Stream Group to explore additional flood risk reduction and water conservation efforts in the cities of Fresno and Clovis.
Congressman Jim Costa emphasized the importance of this agreement, stating:
“This agreement represents an opportunity to improve groundwater recharge efforts and address the water supply demands on our communities.”
